Michiko, Satoshi's mother, is worried about Satoshi's failure to pass the bar exam, despite his aspirations to become a lawyer. Her husband, Teruo, who had high hopes for Satoshi, also seems to have given up on him. Meanwhile, a number of incidents of molestation occur in the neighborhood.
