'Teacher! Teach me to study!" That one word marked the beginning of an inappropriate relationship with a student. When I became a teacher at an all-girls' school after a period of schooling in which I had no contact with women, my workplace, the classroom, was, of course, full of girls. Because the girls at that age were not interested in men, they looked at me, the teacher, as an "older man. I thought I was becoming popular for the first time in my life, so I started an inappropriate relationship with one of my students and enjoyed our after-school encounters. Since then, many things have happened between her and me, but five years have not changed the fact that she and I enjoy our friendship again.
